The newly found Republican Gospel of Fiscal Constriant

30Oct07

The amount of unacknowledged irony in this RedState post makes my head want to explode.

“This year the Democrats have already introduced the largest tax increase in American history, demonstrating utter disregard for our hard-working taxpayers. Now they want to reach deeper into the pockets of the American family to feed their addictive tax and spend habits …The outdated and onerous Alternative Minimum Tax disproportionately hurts the middle class and nation. It must be reformed but not by a party that seeks to punish hard work and prosperity to feed its excessive spending.”

Wow. Just wow. Democrat’s addictive tax and spend habits? As opposed to the Republican’s deficit and interest payments habit? I would expect this out of Stephen Colbert, The Onion, or SNL, but this hack actually means it.
